With existing curved walls,
a large entrance way stepping down, high art decor ceilings
and the original timber floor, a main feature was needed
to flow through the kitchen.
The contoured lines give the
desired effect. A focal point was made by using curved pantry
doors and reversing curves on other cupboards. The colour
that flows through to the corian bench tops makes a statement.
To reduce the height of the ceilings, lighting pelmets were
attached to the ceiling and a moon shaped raised capping
was made to match the contours.
The mirror finished toespace
gives the floating look to the cabinetry, and there are
no difficult corner areas to work around.
