Building a new home, we found we had a large U-shaped area to fill in for the kitchen, after many painstaking hours of going through magazines and sketch drawings, we decided to call in an expert as it was to be the focal point of the home and very important to get it right, we approached Rachel Evans.

Our thoughts were to have a centre piece feature, utilizing the floor area as a conversation island and somewhere to spread the newspaper, using low maintenance materials but to be eye-catching, we also wanted a workable kitchen, user friendly, easy care, bright and breezy and something different to the normal design.

Rachel was given a freehand to come up with the answers, from then it was a breeze, we worked together very easily and Rachel was very obliging, when a slight hitch arose she always seemed to know how to overcome it. We knew what we wanted but it took an experienced designer to show us the way and everything fell into place quickly and the result extremely pleasing.
